DISCLAIMER: All work shown in this section does not represent the current state of the game, but it is meant to showcase what was created during the 5-days-long ue4 jam.

A PLANET TO DIE FOR is the result of the Global Game Jam 2019 in which I took part with 4 other individuals: 2 coders and 2 artists. The theme of the jam was "What home means to you". The footage shown below is the result of 3-days-worth of work.

A PLANET TO DIE FOR - Gameplay

A PLANET TO DIE FOR is a clicker game that tries to find a balance between automation and the use of clicks for offensive (or defensive, actually) purposes. The player is in charge of an entire planet that has to defend themselves from incoming asteroids via either sending bicycle-powered kamikaze rockets to destroy them or with the power of their mind (their clicks). The main and only resource, in fact, is the planet's population. Click to encourage mating, procreation, and the giving birth to offspring, then spend population to man rockets or to improve the infrastructure of the planet itself.

This was my second game jam and during this 3 days period, I had the responsibility of designing the main mechanics of the game, the powerups, and balancing.
