ABOUT ME
After graduating in Switzerland in Communication Sciences and Media and developing basic experience in Journalism, I decided to steer my aim toward the gaming industry for the future. I wanted to try to translate as much as I could into an industry that requires multidisciplinary preparation and T-skilled individuals.
I attended the Gamer Camp postgraduate course (MSc in Video Game Enterprise, Production and Design) at Birmingham City University, which taught me the basics and beyond of software development production methodologies and game design fundamentals.
During this 11 months period I worked closely with different individuals from various disciplines across two main projects: a small-scale project (Mobile Tablet Game) in which I covered the role of Producer, managing a team of 9 across various disciplines; and a large-scale project (PS4 Demo in Unreal Engine 4) in which I covered the roles of both Lead Producer and Lead Designer, managing a team of 16 individuals across multiple disciplines and designing various aspects of the game (Combat, Narrative, and Exploration).
Throughout these two projects, I learned and applied the principles of the Scrum Framework, Agile, Waterfall and Kanban methodologies.
I entered the industry as a Game Designer at Pixel Toys Ltd. in Royal Leamington Spa where I worked on Drop Dead: Dual Strike, one of the top-selling VR shooters on Oculus Quest and the most successful entry in the franchise to date. I was also involved in designing new live ops features for the F2P MOBA-like team-battler Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realm War. I went on working on Warhammer 40'000: BATTLE SISTER, a successful and unique story-driven sci-fi shooter set in the grimdark universe of Warhammer 40'000 that lead me to be promoted to Experienced Game Designer. I am currently working on an unannounced third-person action-adventure game planned to be releasing on multiple platforms in the next couple of years.
